The 7th stop will be at the internationally known Alstom, who are big supporters of the Baton of Hope UK, the planted 2 memorial trees at their entrance for those bereaved by suicide.

At the Hospital and Railway locations, there will be brief talks from key figures focusing on mental health and suicide prevention, tailored to the communities connected to these sites. Baton bearers from each organisation will carry the Baton past these significant locations.

This section of the journey will be especially poignant. Each Baton bearer will be supported by a group of ten men, symbolising the stark reality that three-quarters of all suicides are men. It will be a powerful and visual reminder of the inequalities men face in mental health and suicide.
